Privacy Policy

PeelPals("we," "our," or "us") operates the PeelPals mobile application ("App") and the website at https://peelpals.online. PeelPals allows users to upload a selfie and receive up to 30 personalized AI-generated digital stickers for use on WhatsApp, Telegram, and other messaging platforms.

We collect the following categories of data:

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, or precise location — unless you voluntarily provide them for support requests.

• Service delivery: Processing your photo through AI to generate stickers.
• Credit management: Tracking credits, purchases, and referral bonuses.
• App analytics: Understanding how users interact with the App to improve it.
• Crash reporting: Identifying and fixing bugs to ensure App stability.
• Advertising: Displaying non-personalized or personalized ads (depending on your consent).
• Push notifications: Sending you updates about new themes or promotions (with your permission).
• Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under applicable laws.

We share data with the following third-party service providers strictly to operate the App. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing their data practices.

Face data. The selfie or photo you upload contains face data (your facial image/likeness). We collect this face data for the single purpose of generating your personalized AI stickers. We do not use face data to identify or recognize you, to build a biometric profile or facial-recognition database, to train AI models, or for advertising. We do not sell face data.

• Collection: the uploaded selfie/photo (which contains your face data) is transmitted securely to our backend via HTTPS.
• Use & sharing: it is forwarded only to our AI image-generation provider fal.ai to render the sticker artwork. It is briefly held in Google Cloud Storage (region: europe-west1) as processing input. These are the only third parties that receive it, and each is bound to protect it (see Section 4).
• Retention & deletion: the uploaded photo and its face data are deleted from our servers immediately after sticker generation completes — they are not stored permanently.
• Not retained for identification: we keep no facial templates, embeddings, or biometric identifiers derived from your face.
• Generated sticker images (artwork, not the original face photo) are stored in Google Cloud Storage linked to your anonymous install ID and can be deleted on request (see Section 6 & 7).
• You can withdraw consent and request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Section 7).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@peelpals.online. We respond within 30 days.

To delete your account data: Email us at hello@peelpals.online with your deletion request and we will remove your data within 30 days.

PeelPals is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at hello@peelpals.online and we will promptly delete the information.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• All data transmitted between the App and our servers uses TLS/HTTPS encryption.
• Sticker files stored in Google Cloud Storage use server-side encryption at rest.
• Our backend runs on Google Cloud Run with restricted access controls.
• API keys and secrets are never exposed in the client app.

No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify relevant authorities and affected users as required by law.

PeelPals operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and European Union member states (Google Cloud region: europe-west1). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

The App does not use browser cookies. We use equivalent mobile tracking technologies:

• Firebase Analytics SDK:Collects anonymized event data on app usage. You can opt out through your device's "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Opt out of personalization" settings.
• AdMob SDK:On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent before accessing your Advertising Identifier (IDFA). On Android, users can opt out through Google's ad personalization settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
